The Absolute Sound - "Silver Statement" by Dick Olsher
We have the new McAlister 195 watt OTL's in house. Setup with the Purity Audio Design "Ultra GT" linestage and the King Sound King electrostatic loudspeakers, this combination of components may be one of the most musical experiences you'll get to hear unless you're attending the live performance.
Even our own expectations have been greatly exceeded by this combination. The McAlister OTL 195's easily have to be one of the very best OTL amplifiers made today and at a price of less than $10,000 are a literal bargain. You must hear these amps, period!
Stay tuned for more information regarding our alignment with McAlister Audio of Canada.
Here NOW: The Purity Audio Design "Ultra GT" preamp with the Silver Autoformer modification upgrade.
The "Ultra GT" is the Ultimate realization of the Purity Circuit. Starting where the Silver Statement leaves off, no stone has been left unturned to to reach the full potential this design can achieve. The Ultra GT pushes power supply design far beyond a standard linestage power supply incorporating such features as multiple capacitor banks that improve Pace, Rhythm and Timing (PRAT) and Bybee components including the new Music Rails to further reduce the noise floor for inky black backgrounds.
The analog section adds additional Silver Bybee purifiers, VH Silver Aircore wire and Deulund custom copper with internal silver bypass capacitors. This is the ultimate linestage!

"It’s rare in this business to come across a product that distances itself from the competition right out of the box. But that sort of jaw-dropping experience was exactly my first impression. I happened to be listening to David Manley’s Lesley album, a recording I’m very well familiar with, when it hit home that this was the most revealing linestage preamp I’d heard to date. It was without peer in fleshing out individual image outlines with realistic space between them..."
"It is a persuasive musical performer that has earned my highest praise and my passionate vote for linestage preamp of the year...."
